About the event
On April 25th, 1974, Portugal’s Carnation Revolution peacefully overthrew dictatorship, restoring democracy and civil rights. This revolution, unique for its non-violent approach, saw soldiers placing red carnations in their rifles instead of firing a single shot—a true embodiment of Ahimsa (non-violence) and the power of peaceful resistance.
At The Seed, we value freedom, unity, and conscious action as tools for transformation. True change starts from within, but it also requires action—standing up for what matters, using our voices, and collectively shaping a better world.
