It is not only a form of musical expression but also a means of healing and connecting with the divine.

About Simona:

Simona Chalikovaite Apsara – Singer, performer and teacher of Indian classical singing. From a young age she was trained in western musical education and graduated in Jazz studies. Later, for more than a decade, she received rigorous training in the Dhrupad singing tradition with one of the most renowned exponents, Pt. Ritwik Sanyal, in Varanasi, India. Her spiritual search led her to India at a young age, where she met eminent Masters of Yoga and Meditation traditions as well.

From 2012 she is actively giving Sound and Voice therapy sessions. She taught Indian classical singing at the Vicenza Conservatory in Italy and gives numerous workshops, masterclasses and concerts in several countries in Europe and India. Graduated in Indology, she also teaches Sanskrit literature and Vedic chanting and promotes Indian

culture and philosophy. 

Currently she is based in the Algarve.
