Yogāsana Masterclass (advanced beginners & intermediaries); with Egle

Deep your yoga āsana practice from physical to esoteric / spiritual.

This  workshop is for everyone who has already some āsana experience and is  looking for ways to elevate towards a more advanced understanding of the  practice.

That  means understanding the physical aspect of the asana, especially the  foundations and how to work with your body towards the correct  engagement and alignment.

It  also means going beyond the physical and working with concentration,  withdrawal of the senses and the life force energy (prana). Every yoga  posture has energetic meaning, therefore bringing in the awareness of  the chakras & the nadis, may transform one’s asana in a completely  new way.

The workshop will cover:

• Physical aspect: feet, hips, spine, the crown
• Introduction to drishti (the gaze point), pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses) and dharana (concentration)
• Meaning of pranayama in Hatha yoga and Ujjayi breath, including the three bandhas
• Introduction to the 7 chakra system, the key three nadis and their relationship to the postures
• The workshop will include theory and practice.

NOTE:

Not  suitable for the first 3 months of pregnancy. 

For those who would like  optimum experience, advice is to attend Yogāsana class on the same day  before the workshop. Please do not eat before attending for at least 2-3 hours.
